ESCEP Insulation System: How It Came To Be
Who knew traveling the world would lead us to opportunities beyond our earthly expectations? Cooking outside, years back, our co-founder Rashad met Rob, founder and head-researcher at Earth\Studies, and they hit it off. After getting their teams acquainted, our spirits aligned with the Earth\Studies minds and we became comrades, sharing scouting locations and prototype feedback. They opened up their labs to us, showing us some of their test samples, and we put some of our best ideas and greatest needs into their machine. With some persistence and the help of our loyal mates, out came the Limited Edition: ESCEP Insulation System with Polartec®: a labor of love, science, and a little science-fiction.
Our journey at Camp Yoshi has always been about bringing the joys of the great outdoors to folks, especially those who struggled to find it on their own. We do this, in part, by meeting them where they are, providing campers with all the necessary tools, so that their only job is to show up. With that mission, we often find ourselves far from city lights and creature comforts. Those cold evenings (and even some mornings) around the campfire started to present a challenge that we couldn't ignore. We needed a solution to keep our campers, crew, and gurus warm.
It was during one of our expeditions that we realized our next step was going to require collaboration. That's when we turned to our friends at Earth\Studies. Their out-of-this-world approach to fashion and their unique laboratories, where they conjure both function and style, intrigued us. We brought our challenge to their doors, hoping that together, we could create something extraordinary.
The fusion of Earth\Studies' supernatural style and our commitment to premium outdoor gear, gave birth to something remarkable. We unveiled the Limited Edition: ESCEP Insulation System, a versatile, efficient fleece set that bridges the gap between campfire moments and city life. As a part of the Earth\Studies Cold Environments Project, its insulation technology sets campers up for success. Polartec’s 200 Fleece Series is one of the most versatile insulation materials, and as a bonus, it’s made with 85% recycled content— ensuring warmth and coziness in even the most remote destinations. Since adding it to our packing list, this system has quickly become our most reliable companion in some of the coldest camp moments.
This project is a testament to the magic that happens when distinct visions come together to create purposeful solutions. With this, our mission to help you thrive in the outdoors remains strong, and we look forward to sharing many more adventures with you.
